How does Foodship's contactless food ordering work?
The Foodship QR code ordering cycle can be completed in seven easy steps:
- The restaurant creates a digital menu with pictures of drinks and dishes.
- The restaurant creates a unique QR code for each table from the Foodship Admin Panel.
- The customer scans the QR code using their smartphone camera, which brings up the restaurant's digital menu on their phone.
- The customer selects the items they want to order from the digital menu.
- The customer places the order through the digital menu and pays for their meal using a payment method of their choice, such as an online transaction or cash.
- The food order is sent to the kitchen, and the drink order is sent to the bar. The restaurant prepares the food and drink as per the order.
- Once the food and drink are ready, the restaurant delivers it to the customer's table.
Payment Options
The Restaurant manager can choose to provide the customers with multiple payment options.
- The restaurant manager can enable/disable this feature
- The customer can keep ordering the food and at last pay through cash.
- The customer can make the payment through an online card payment method.
- The payment can be done directly after placing the order through qr code ordering.
- In pin-based order, the restaurant staff generates a 4 digit pin and assigns it to the customer.
- The pin is generated with a single click and will be printed on the docket through a POS printer for each table
- With this, customers don’t have to pay after every single order.
- Customers can keep ordering and all orders will be added to the customer's table in the POS system and they can pay at the end of the order.
- Now, Restaurant staff can print another 4 digit code for the next customer. (This feature is available on point of sale only)
